A Chinese painting and calligraphy exhibition entitled "Colorful Beijing passion, jointly constructing the Chinese dream" was held in the Russian capital, Moscow, on Sept 27.
A total of 75 works created by Chinese contemporary artists, including Fan Yang, Shi Guoliang, Liu Wenxi and Tian Liming, which captured the history of Beijing and the Chinese dream, were on display. Over 200 Chinese and foreign guests attended the event.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Li Hui said various art works on display highlighted the unique charm of Chinese painting and calligraphy, and presented Russian audiences a glimpse of China and its capital Beijing.
"This high standard exhibition is a gift for the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. It provides a platform for cultural exchange and promotes friendship of both countries and our people," Li added.
The exhibition will also go to St. Petersburg.
