1,000 charging stations to be built for cars

One thousand quick-charging stations for electric cars will be built by the end of the year, Beijing News reported on Friday.

There are currently 2,000 purely electrically powered cars in the city and 566 charging stations in public areas. Over the coming two months, 1,000 quick-charging stations will be built at the airport, railway stations, public parking lots and expressway service areas.
