China-Italy Chamber of Commerce held a gala dinner in Beijing on Nov 29. Officials from Italian Embassy in China and the chamber’s chairman Franco Cutrupia were present. The dinner brought together more than 300 Italian representatives in the fields of textile, machinery manufacturing, security and fashion, as well as Chinese companies and media personnel.
Participants enjoyed not only authentic Italian food but also exciting Chinese acrobatics performance and jazz music by Moreno Donadel, an Italian band.
As the only association recognized by both the Italian and the Chinese governments, the chamber gathers and represents the Italian business community in China and works closely with the Italian Embassy in China and general consulates in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing as well as the Italian Trade Commission and other European Union-funded projects supporting the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises.
As a member of the Association of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, the chamber is also connected to local chambers in Italy.
It offers information services as well as assistance for business localization and events organization and promotion.
