A fire broke out at a station under construction on subway Line 7, which is scheduled to open on Dec 28, shortly after noon on Sunday. Firefighters extinguished the blaze within 15 minutes. No casualties were reported. The fire in the cooling tower in Guangqumennei Station was probably started by electric welding, and the case is still under investigation, Beijing News reported.
