A court ordered a man to pay compensation for the death of his lover, who committed suicide after he deserted her. Both were married but started living together in 2006. They agreed to divorce their partners and start a new family. The woman divorced her husband, but the man brought his wife to Beijing and allegedly abused the lover when she complained about it. She hanged herself at the construction site where the man worked. The court said the man must pay the woman's family about 200,000 yuan ($32,400), people.com.cn reported on Monday.
