Chaoyang solves residents' traffic problemsBeijing's Chaoyang district has added 3,000 new parking slots this year by building new parking lots and re-arranging the traffic flow in the streets.
Public transportation mode has been further diversified with the launch of about 100 more public rent bicycle service spots and electrical microcirculation of public transportation lines in some experimental areas, according to the People's Congress and the Political Consultative Conference of Chaoyang District.
Chaoyang district last year carried out autonomous management of parking in nine experimental residential quarters. The parking management committee run by residents will take locals’ opinion into consideration and employ professional parking management companies to carry out proper plans.
Additionally, vehicle license plate recognition system will be installed to help manage all parking space effectively and constantly.
The opening of four new subway lines including Line 7 and Line 14 has provided citizens with much convenience, easing up urban public transportation issues.
This year, Chaoyang district will open up 100 new public rent bicycle service spots with 3,000 new bicycles to hire in places like Sanlitun Village, Taiyanggong area, and places along the subway lines. The new transportation way is expected to solve nearly quarter a million people's transportation problems and attract more people to public transportation.
All lines will be in operation at rush hours and connecting subway which is convenient for residents living in areas like Shuanghuayuan, Baiziwan and Cuicheng. Each of the new lines is a 6-meter electric bus which has a capacity of 30 to 40 passengers.
