Baidu and China Mobile signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build a new generation of mobile Internet cloud computing center named Baidu Yizhuang New-generation Search Data Center on Feb 5.
This is the first cloud computing center for mobile Internet business, which will boost online speed for users and optimize users' experience of the mobile Internet.
The center, covering an area of 38,000 square meters with more than 40,000 servers, will be put into operation in early 2016. It will apply advanced concepts on green energy-saving design and a number of Baidu's own proprietary technologies.
Baidu and China Mobile will complement each other's advantages in big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
The cooperation between the two parties has initiated a brand new model for Internet companies and mobile operators to build joint cloud computing centers.
Moreover, it also helps Baidu and other Internet companies to improve mobile Internet services and users' experience, and transform China Mobile and other telecommunication operators from Communication Techonology industry to large Information and Communications Technology industry.
