This past year, the annual output of the Beijing Benz Automotive Co grew by 25 percent compared with the previous year, E-times has reported this February, at the company's annual conference in Beijing's Economic Technological Development Area, also known as E-town.
Beijing Benz was established in 2005 by the BAIC Motor Corp and Daimler AG and since that time the two parent companies have increased cooperation and this past year signed a contract on increased productivity and the localization of the new deluxe compact Benz to take the company to a higher level.
The company also made its product mix more diverse last year and its product layout, R&D, and manufacturing development changed as well. The Beijing Benz research center went into operation this past September, incorporating the of the parent corporation's Global R&D System and had seven advanced research labs, allowing the German HQ to provide vital technological support.
Since June 2014, Beijing Benz has been exporting key products from its engine factory, and had put around 50,000 components on the global market by the end of last year, a major step forward for China's automotive industry.
