A press conference for the 5th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) was held in the capital on March 19, 2015.
The conference unveiled the names of members of the international jury of Tiantan Award for this year's BJIFF.

Famous French director Luc Besson will chair the jury of Tiantan Award, which also includes renowned Russian actor Fyodor Bondarchuk, famous director and producer Peter Chan from Hong Hong, celebrated American screenwriter and filmmaker Robert Mark Kamen, South Korean auteur Kim Ki-duk, Brazilian director Fernando Meirelles, and Chinese actress Zhou Xun.
The conference also released two promotional posters for this year's film festival, which center on 3M, "Master, Mass and Market", as well as the core value of Tiantan Award from various perspectives of artistic creation.
This year's BJIFF has attracted 930 movies from across the globe to compete for the Tiantan Award, among which 122 are Chinese films while 808 films are from foreign countries.
The 5th BJIFF will run from April 16 to 23, featuring seven major events including appraisal of Tiantan Award, opening ceremony, film panorama, themed forums, film market, film carnivals, and closing awards ceremony.
The opening and closing ceremony will be held in the Yanqi Lake International Convention Center in Beijing's Huairou district on April 16 and April 23 respectively.
During the festival, more than 360 great films will be showed in over 30 film agencies and colleges in Beijing. Three themed forums including Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum, International Film Group Summit Forum, and Summit on the Beauty of Film will be held in Beijing Hotel and China National Film Museum on April 17, 18 and 22 respectively.
Besides, a film market will be held at the China Millennium Monument from April 17 to 20. Film carnivals will also stun audiences in more than 20 cinemas in downtown Beijing and around the Yanqi Lake.
BJIFF was launched in 2011 for the first time. In the past four years, the festival has adhered to its tenet of "Share the Screen, Shape the Future" and promoted the core value of Tiantan Award--"Beauty in Variety, Harmony in Diversity".
BJIFF is steadily working towards its goal of "developing into the best film festival in Asia and ranking among the top three film festivals in the world". It has played an important role in promoting the rapid and healthy development of China's film industry and the prosperity of the world's film culture.
