Dunhuang's influence
Gansu province, in northwestern China, is home to the famous Dunhuang grottos that have influenced artists in the area for generations. The magnificent Buddhist murals in the Mogao caves, which date back hundreds of years, are reflected in the works of 10 Gansu artists, who are displaying 90 ink paintings as part of New China Artists, a project seeking to showcase Chinese ink art since 1949.
