A Sino-Hungarian media forum was held in Beijing on Sept 14, one of a series of events to celebrate the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary.
Experts and artists discussed communications and expressed their opinions on topics such as media and child protection. More than 70 representatives of media and arts, experts, scholars, and journalists of both countries took part.
The 2015 Sino-Hungary Exchanges Forum, themed on art and communications, is the second cultural exchange event. The first was held in Budapest, capital of Hungary, in October 2014, where the media and cultural sectors of both countries established a regular exchange system to host events in turn.
Zhou Mingwei, president of the China International Publishing House, said he was happy to see people from art and television from both countries at this year's event, extending cultural exchanges between China and Hungary.
"Media and arts are important channels to increase understanding among different countries", said Tomas Kolarik, member of the Media Committee of Hungary's National Media and Infocommunications Authority, who introduced Hungary's media industry and experience in sponsoring the improvement of media content.
The event was sponsored by the China International Publishing Group and Hungary's National Media and Infocommunications Authority.
