As a second-time Olympic organizer Beijing enjoys the legacy of the 2008 Olympics, including the iconic "Bird's Nest" national stadium and the "Water Cube" aquatics center. These facilities will once again become Olympic venues in 2022. Eight venues will be built or rebuilt in Zhangjiakou, where most of the snow events will be held. To link Beijing and Zhangjiakou, the construction of a high-speed railway, which will be fully operational by 2019, has already begun.
