On May 17, Beijing’s Zhongguancun Software Park (Zpark) and the People’s Government of Langfang Municipality, Hebei province, signed an agreement to construct a “Zpark platform for talent cultivation, innovation and entrepreneurship”.
Liu Kefeng, chairman of Zpark, and Feng Shaohui, mayor of Langfang, inked the agreement.
Liu said since qualified scientists and technicians are the most important factors in developing the information industry, the core function of a Zpark platform will be to cultivate talents in innovation and entrepreneurship. Moreover, a Zpark platform will try to convert research results into real products.
The complementary relationship between Zpark and Langfang, which provides Zpark with industrial and educational resources as well as talent capital and Langfang with R&D projects and intellectual resources, will make the Zpark platform a collaborative innovation branding program bringing together talents, resources and industry groups, he said.
Feng, for his part, said that against the background of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cooperative development and a surge of start-up businesses, Langfang has set a goal of developing hi-tech industries. Cooperation with Zpark, a leading brand in innovation and entrepreneurship after 16 years of development, will facilitate the realization of Langang’s vision and enhance the city’s capabilities in R&D and innovation.
According to the agreement, Zpark and Langfang will collaboratively establish a talent cultivation system to train medium and high-level technical personnel for cloud computing, big data and electronic business companies in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The two sides will also form an entrepreneurial innovation ecosystem, providing integrated service, sci-tech and financial services, business incubation and maker spaces for promising start-up projects, middle and small-sized enterprises and start-up teams in Internet+, E-commerce and software and information service industries.
