A launching ceremony for a women's health and welfare program was held at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing, on May 25.
The program was organized by the China Women's Development Foundation, the Chinese Academy of Medical Science's Health and Science Popularization Center, and the JM DH Charity Foundation.
It will run for eight years and put 100 million yuan ($15.2 million) into women's health, according to JM DH, which adds that the program is designed to increase awareness of breast cancer, including screening and treatment.
JM DH is a non-public offering foundation focused on assistance to the elderly and underprivileged children and overall social development.
