The Rio Olympics torch will be lit at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro in fewer than 30 days.
Like Brazil, the athletes and media, Nuctech, a made-in-China security equipment manufacturer, is busily preparing for the big upcoming event.

Security for big sports events has always been a public concern.“Safety is the first issue that needs to be considered in organizing the biggest match on earth,”the International Olympic Committee said. In order to ensure the safety of the Rio Olympics, Brazil has launched the largest ever security plan, involving 85,000 police, firefighters and military workers, double the number of the London Olympics.
Nuctech has a great deal of experience with big events, including the IAAF World Championships Beijing 2015, the 2015 Wimbledon Championships, the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, the 2010 Asian Games and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The Rio Olympics, however, will be even more demanding.

In the Rio Olympics, Nuctech will serve four competition zones---Barra, Deodoro, Maracanã and Copacabana -- as well as the exits, shopping centers and transportation centers in the Olympic village. Some of the equipment will also safeguard the 2016 Paralympic Games.

All the security inspection devices have arrived in Brazil, and field engineers from Nuctech are busy with the final debugging.
After the Olympic Games the devices will continue to be used in prisons located in the south and north of Rio.
