The 14th Zhongguancun International Food Festival came to an end on July 26 at the Chinese Royal Gastronomy Museum in Haidian.
This year’s theme was "Food, Health, and Technology".
The festival featured an exhibition about opening smart restaurants. Robots for food delivery, automatic frying pans, smart food waste disposal, and a series other digitally-enhanced products for restaurant kitchens were displayed at the festival.
Another highlight of this year's festival was the release of the Haidian food consumer big data analysis report.
Haidian Food Service Association, together with Lingdian food industry research center and food-ordering application Nuomi, conducted detailed analysis of seven commercial areas in Haidian over the past five years.
The results will help shopping centers in Haidian to understand the development and trends of consumer habits.
More than 30 restaurants were awarded with the title of "Most Favorite Restaurant" at this year's festival.
