For ‘the 13th five-year’ plan, Beijing CBD is promoting the concept of ‘Commerce+’ to integrate development of educational training, cultural tourism and cultural media through high-end commerce information services. By 2020, innovative and smart CBD will have been built, bringing about integrated industrial development and improving smart service in the six fields of public security, urban operations, government management and services, enterprise operations, public works, and life management and service. 5G mobile communication is expected to be in pilot use, at a peak rate equal to 100 times that of 4G.
After multiple ‘software’ upgrades Beijing CBD is promoting the concept of ‘Commerce+’ for the first time and setting up commerce service platforms such as ‘Commerce+ Educational Training’, ‘Commerce+ Cultural Tourism’ and ‘Commerce+ Cultural Media’ so as to integrate commerce talent cultivation, high-end exhibitions, fashion advertising and other international businesses.
The platform of ‘Commerce+ Educational Training’ was introduced in the Yale Center Beijing and The Wharton School Training Center Beijing in cooperation with 16 leading domestic and foreign university business schools, research institutes and business training organizations. The cooperation supports the Beijing CBD Business College Alliance and makes available senior management training, thus providing support for the international development of people and commercial cultural networks. In the future, Beijing CBD is expected to become the hub for talent and innovation development throughout the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area.
According to the Beijing CBD Management Committee, Guanghua International Financial City of CBD will construct the smart comprehensive management corridor in the municipal administration, realizing 100Tbps for buildings, 1Tbps for enterprises and 10,000Tbps for full coverage. This level of service is expected to result in a comprehensive smart commerce office environment and professionally supported service facilities. After the smart CBD is built, the public will be able to acquire smart service at any time and in any place. For example, the system will remind drivers there is parking under the buildings and direct them to routes with lighter traffic based on information about actual existing conditions.
