With a theme of “Beijing Chaoyang - a pilot area of national cultural innovation industry” and a “20+1” scheme, which refers to having a main venue and twenty sub-venues, a number of fine cultural works and events will represent Chaoyang district at the 11th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE).
“Some well-known cultural innovation enterprises and creative skills, including the Beijing Film Academy cultural park, ice-screen technology, 3D rendering technology, Ireader Company and an autonomous advertisement cloud service platform, have been selected and will be exhibited at ICCIE,” the head of the Cultural Innovation Development Center said.
Chaoyang district's heavy emphasis on the cultural innovation industry has certainly given a strong impetus to its development following the twelfth five-year plan. Cultural innovation has become the district’s pillar industry, with revenues in 2020 expected to be over 400 billion yuan (about $60 billion). The number of registered cultural innovation enterprises reached 58,000, twice more than the previous five-year plan, with an average annual revenue growth rate of nine percent.
A series of cultural industry parks and bases, like Topnew Film Industry Park, 24H Gear Factory Entrepreneurship cultural park and Banbidian cultural park were built and upgraded through old factory reform, traditional facility upgrading and rural industrial reform. They will be promoted in the main venue of ICCIE at the National Exhibition Center, No.4 Hall.
Besides exhibitions and events held in the main venue, other sub venues will be utilized for cultural works and events like a 3D Technology and Innovation Fair, the first China E-sports awards ceremony in the Jingyuan Art Center and a vintage black technology art exhibition in the Langyuan Art Center.
