Guizhou Huaxintong Semiconductor Technology recorded another historical milestone by opening a research and development center in Beijing on Nov 18.
Huaxintong, founded in January as part of a cooperation deal between the Guizhou government and US mobile chipmaker Titan Qualcomm, announced to set up three bases in the country: one in Guizhou, Beijing and Shanghai.
Gui’an New Area in Guizhou has set aside some land for a semiconductor industrial park, where Haxintong’s labs are currently under construction.
The company is now selecting a suitable site for its research and development center in Shanghai, which is expected to break ground in 2017.
