A family virtues-themed exhibition kicked off at Beijing’s China Millennium Monument on January 10.
The exhibition was jointly held by the Capital Construction of Spiritual Civilization Committee, the Beijing Women's Federation and the Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group.
Li Danyang, manager of the Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group, briefly introduced the exhibition, alongside representatives from the elected selection of ‘Most Beautiful Families’, who shared family stories at the opening ceremony.
The organizers stressed the important role of family culture in the country's development, national progress and social harmony, calling for promotion of socialist core values and the understanding of the ‘Chinese dream’. Harmony within families is closely related to lifelong benefits, including the healthy growth of children and teenagers and the development and progress of the Chinese nation.
The exhibition consists of three parts: ‘family’, ‘family education’ and ‘family tradition’. Each area aims to establish a visual language that enhances a collective understanding of family virtues throughout the public through showcasing family letters, family trees, images and videos.
During the exhibition, Zhang Huanguang and Chen Suqiu’s thirty-year love letters, books and paintings which reflect upon Ewenki’s family culture will be on show alongside Feng Zikai’s family stories.
