China will continue to improve its grain trading mechanism and reform the
country's State-owned grain firms to ensure grain security and protect the
legitimate interests of grain growers, Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan said in
Beijing on Sunday.
Addressing a national conference attended by leading officials of grain
bureaux at the central and provincial levels, the vice premier said it is of
great significance for the government grain departments to do a good job in
maintaining stable and relatively fast economic growth.
China will continue to improve its grain circulation system, step up
construction of a grain market system, and improve supervision over grain
markets and safeguard grain circulation, said the vice
premier.
