Retailer to clothe China (Shanghai Daily) Updated: 2006-04-10 15:14
Ports Design Ltd, a China-focused upscale fashion retailer, plans to expand
its retail network in the Chinese mainland at a much faster pace as the Chinese
retail sector keeps growing.
The Hong Kong-listed company, which sells menswear and womenswear under the
"Ports International" brand, plans to open 20 stores in the mainland in the
coming year, said Alfred Chan, the chief executive.
"We plan to build a wider distribution network," Chan told Dow Jones
Newswires in a recent interview. Chan said he envisages "uninhibited growth" for
the company's retail business in the mainland. (For more biz stories, please visit Industry Updates) |
