Vegetables from Taiwan will be showcased for the first time on the mainland
at an agricultural exhibition on April 20 in East China's Shandong Province.
Taiwan's involvement in the exhibition was made possible after the government
annulled import tariffs on 15 categories of Taiwan-grown fruits last August.

The Chinese government on Wednesday approved plans to create a unified and
open national grain market, sources with the central government said. The
government also approved proposals to restructure state-owned grain enterprises.
