The country¡¯s flagship carrier, Air China Ltd., said Friday it carried 18.9 percent more passengers in April than in the same month last year.

During the month, the Beijing-based airline carried 2.6 million passengers, while cargo volume rose 5.8 percent to 68,230.4 metric tons, it said.

The company didn¡¯t provide comparison figures, and didn¡¯t elaborate on its latest traffic figures. Air China¡¯s passenger load factor, a measure of how much of its available seats were filled, rose 2.9 percent to 77.1 percent.
