Construction: developer eyes investors (Shanghai Daily) Updated: 2006-06-12 14:00
Galliard Homes, a leading residential developer in London, came to Shanghai
yesterday to try to sell one of Europe's biggest-ever apartment-hotel
developments to China's increasingly affluent citizens.
The 300 million pound (US$552.9 million) Westminster Bridge Park Plaza is
located in County Hall in central London, overlooking Big Ben and the Houses of
Parliament.
Due for completion in 2010, the development will comprise a 14-story luxury
apartment-hotel that replaces the dilapidated County Hall Island building. The
Galliard will feature 900 hotel and penthouse suites, all with 999-year
leases. (For more biz stories, please visit Industry Updates)
