China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), the country's biggest oil company, plans to more than double its oil and gas production in northwestern China's Qinghai field by 2010, Xinhua reported Friday.

CNPC's target for the field is an annual output of the oil and gas equivalent of 10 million metric tons by 2010, compared with an output 4.35 million tons last year, the report said.
