Hilton Hotels Corp. plans to double the number of hotels under its management in China in the next several years, the company said in a statement Thursday.

The international hotel company, which now manages five hotels in China, plans to open the Hilton Hefei in eastern China¡¯s Anhui Province by the end of 2006. Plans are under way for hotels in Shanghai, Macao, Xiamen and Shanxi Province, the company said.
