South Korea's Samsung to add US$500m investment in China

South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co said recently it will add an approximate US$500 million investment in China next year, to further develop its electronics and financing business.

The company also said the proportion of its business in China on export and sale in domestic market was 6:4 last year. It hopes the figure next year will change to 50-50. Samsung will also build a new chip assembly production line in  Suzhou of East China's Jiangsu Province, with the commencement of the first quarter of 2007.
