The governor of China Construction Bank has resigned and his successor will be announced soon, People Daily reported today.

Chang Zhenming, who is also the vice chairman and executive board director, will go to work in the CITIC Group "for the sake of the country's financial reform and development," said Hu Changmiao, the spokesperson from the bank.

The directors of the bank approved the resign applicant from Chang during a conference on Sunday afternoon, said the newspaper.
