Environment: New surveillance centres (China Daily) Updated: 2006-08-01 14:39 Two more surveillance centres
on nuclear-related security will be set up by China's top environmental office
in Dalian in Northeast China's Liaoning Province and Lanzhou in Northwest
China's Gansu Province. Together with the current four centres, the
country has six regional surveillance centres to co-ordinate nuclear safety
issues involving several provinces and municipalities.
The State
Environmental Protection Administration will recruit 15 high-level officials
from the public for the six nuclear surveillance centres and five regional
