Trade: Call to reduce risks (China Daily) Updated: 2006-08-04 13:40 The Ministry of Commerce said
it will encourage agricultural export businesses to join credit insurance
programmes to reduce risks, while governments will give financial assistance to
companies utilizing credit insurance, the Xinhua News Agency quoted sources as
saying yesterday.
At the end of 2005, more than 500 such companies paid
premiums of US$1.44 billion. The ministry estimated the number of such companies
will reach 1,000 by 2010.
Last year, 260 businesses got loans of 3.6
billion yuan (US$450 million) with the deposit of their insurance
