Teradata opens global service centre (China Daily) Updated: 2006-08-17 08:33 DALIAN: Teradata, a global leader in business data
warehousing, applications and services, opened a global consulting centre (GCC)
yesterday in this port city in Northeast China's Liaoning Province.
Teradata is a division of US-based NCR Corporation, a leading global
technology company that helps businesses build stronger relationships with their
customers.
As one of the world's top 500 companies, NCR employs about 29,300 people
worldwide. It services leading companies in industries such as banking,
telecommunications and aviation.
Located in the Dalian Software Park, the new centre will provide professional
multilingual service support to Teradata customers throughout North Asia,
including China and Japan, according to NCR Global Vice-President Hideki Hosoi.
"The centre is a critical component of the planned growth of Teradata's
global professional services consulting. The GCC team in China will be an
extension of Teradata Professional Services, the world's leading data warehouse
consultancy," he said.
The centre's staff will specialize in data warehousing and business
intelligence software, and will offer superior capability in end-to-end business
data warehouse implementation, according to Hosoi.
The centre will serve customers throughout North Asia and complement other
consulting centres recently opened in India and Pakistan.
