China, Venezuela ink agreements to boost bilateral ties

The first is to strengthen high-level exchanges and expand strategic consensus.

The Chinese side will work with the Venezuelan side to expand exchanges and cooperation between governments, legislatures and political parties and strengthen dialogues, consultations and coordination on major issues of common concern, Hu said.
The second is to deepen reciprocal cooperation and speed up common development.
The Chinese side will join the Venezuelan side in improving the function of the bilateral high-level mixed commission, implementing the cooperative projects, and exploring bilateral cooperation in railway construction, ship building, oil machinery manufacturing and high-tech, Hu noted.

He also pledged that the Chinese side would encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in Venezuela and welcomes Venezuelan businesses to China.

The Chinese side will work with the Venezuelan side to explore their potentials and expand cooperation for better economic and social benefits, Hu added.

The third is to enhance cultural exchanges and mutual understanding with expanding exchanges in culture, education, science, technology, press, and tourism.

The fourth is to strengthen international cooperation, especially their coordination and cooperation in international and regional organizations such as the United Nations, World Trade Organization and the Organization of American States, Hu said.
