IT: Nokia signs Yunnan deal (China Daily) Updated: 2006-09-06 11:21
Nokia yesterday said it has signed a US$63 million deal with Yunnan Mobile
Communication Co Ltd to expand the operator's GMS mobile network in Southwest
China's Yunnan Province. Nokia will provide network equipment and services
including network planning, implementation and other support services.
Deliveries have started and the network will be operational in November.
One of China's top five national news websites, www.China.org, has launched
an online business platform, China Supplier, www.china.cn. The website, under
the Information Office of the State Council, will work closely with related
government departments to establish a reliable enterprise credit management
system tapping the demand from China's online business market. After a brief
trial period, China Supplier has already attracted more than 3.5 million
