US casino mogul Steve Wynn predicted yesterday that his new hotel and gaming complex would take Macao by storm, rubbishing talks that billions of dollars of investment were creating a glut in Macao.

Speaking a day before his Wynn Resorts Ltd was scheduled to open its first casino in the city, Wynn said his airy casino with plush restaurants and hotel rooms offered more than existing gambling dens.

"In Macao, the invitation has been rather one-dimensional just gambling," Wynn said.
