Sino-Belgian economic cooperation

Visiting Chinese Vice-Premier Zeng Peiyan presented here on Friday a three-point proposal on promoting the economic cooperation between China and Belgium.

When speaking to business leaders from Belgium, Zeng said the trade and investment between China and Belgium has seen rapid expansion and there is a great potential for the two sides to elevate the quality and level for bilateral economic cooperation.
 
Zeng, who is here for a four-day official visit, thus proposed:
-- to deepen the cooperation in such fields as mechanics, textile, telecommunication, space technology and bio- pharmaceutical industry;
-- to expand technology exchange on nuclear energy research, environment protection and treatment of electronic garbage;
-- to make full use of the Sino-Belgian join commission for trade and economic cooperation, so as to facilitate the long-term and stable cooperative partnership between the business circles from the two countries.

The vice-premier also urged the business leaders from the two countries to expand cooperation fields and strive to realize a win- win situation.
