Human Resource: Minimum hourly-wage standards announced

China has announced the minimum hourly-wage standards in its 29 provinces and autonomous regions excluding Guangdong and Xinjiang, according to sources with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MLSS).

All provinces and autonomous regions in China have so far issued their minimum monthly-payment standards, said the MLSS. According to the ministry, Shenzhen tops the standard list, the monthly minimum payment standing at 810 yuan (US$102.5), while Beijing ranks first in terms of hourly-pay of 7.9 yuan. The inland province of Jiangxi stays at the bottom, with the lowest 270 yuan per month, and 2.7 yuan per hour.
