PTA futures launched in Zhengzhou

Dealers prepare for the world's first Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA) futures contracts trading on Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange on December 18. On that day, upon approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, PTA futures contracts started to be traded on the exchange. Besides being the first ever PTA futures in the world, PTA was also the second new product traded on Zhengzhou exchange this year, after white sugar futures launched earlier. [Xinhua]
