In the first ten months of this year, China imported 179,100 vehicles (chassis included) valued at US$5.95 billion, up 40.28 percent and 49.72 percent respectively from the same period last year.

From that, the car import amount and value reached 86,000 units and US$3.10 billion, up 42.60 and 56.95 percent year on year. Rover import volume and value hit 69,900 units and US$2.06 billion, up 33.02 and 45.90 percent year on year. Mini-bus import volume and value recorded 15,500 units and US$289 million, up 67.28 and 41.04 percent respectively year on year, according to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

In October this year, China imported US$1.46 billion worth of vehicles, down 19.05 percent from September this year and up 12.77 percent from the same time last year.
