IT: Lenovo may build computer factory in Poland

Lenovo Group Ltd may invest 45 million zloty (US$15 million) to build a computer-assembly plant in Poland, Puls Biznesu reported, without saying where it got the information.

The China's biggest personal-computer maker is considering opening the plant in the Legnica industrial park in southwestern Poland, Puls said. The company may hire between 500 to 800 workers, Bloomberg reported.

The Polish Economy Ministry confirmed that it has approved a plan to support the investment of a foreign computer maker, Puls reported. The ministry declined to specify the company's name, the newspaper said.
