China's grain prices rose 3.6 percent in December over the previous month, a year-on-year increase of 9.1 percent, the central bank reported yesterday.

According to data released by the People's Bank of China, the nation's corporate goods price in December climbed 5.1 percent year on year, indicating growing inflation pressure.

The CGP index, previously called the wholesale price index, reflects price changes of products traded between companies, and traced overall price fluctuations together with the consumer price index.
