Hong Kong's export growth slowed in December for the first month in three as weaker consumption in the United States and Japan meant there was less demand for China-made goods shipped through the city.

Overseas sales rose 13.7 percent last month from a year earlier to HK$214.7 billion (US$27.5 billion) after gaining 14.2 percent in November, the government said yesterday on its Website. That beat the 12.1 percent median estimate of 15 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News.
