Sinotruk develops four-door heavy truck

China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co Ltd (Sinotruk) recently completed the cab trial assembly of the Howo four-door heavy truck. Sinotruk completed the design and manufacture of the Howo four-door cab by itself, and overcame the difficulties in complicated design and high production cost.

"The four-door heavy truck has a small market share currently, and it is mainly used as a fire engine or other special vehicle," said Wang Wenyu, Sinotruk vice-general manager.

Because the fire engine has to carry firemen and ensure high efficiency, the cab must have four seats and four doors. In the past, Sinotruk only manufactured the chassis for the two-door heavy truck.

The four-door cab designed by Sinotruk has a high-intensity, beautiful exterior. It easily accommodates auto refitting and saves on purchase costs for auto refitting businesses, Wang said, adding that it has enjoyed brisk sales after its market launch.
