A master degree holder and three students of traditional Chinese medicine opened a foot massage outlet in Chengdu, Sichuan, last November.

Despite the fact that the four can earn up to 20,000 yuan ($2,597) per month, many cannot understand why they want to massage feet for a living. But Feng Benhua, the Master's degree holder from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that foot massage, which is closely related to acupuncture points, has existed since ancient times in traditional Chinese medicine. What they are doing is what traditional Chinese medicine practitioners have done for centuries.
