Bank: New bank branches

Huaxia Bank Co, a Chinese lender partly owned by Deutsche Bank AG, will open three new branches in Shaoxing, Changzhou and Nanning, said Liu Haiyan, chairman of the Beijing-based lender.

Last month the bank said profit climbed to 1.46 billion yuan (US$188 million) in 2006 from 1.29 billion yuan, according to a preliminary earnings statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
