US software firm Oracle opened its eighth branch in China in the past year in Fuzhou on Friday as part of its efforts to expand in the East China province.

Oracle will also do some local development work in the city, training local talents through internship and cooperation with vocational colleges, as well as popularize information technology among primary and secondary schools.
