The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) unveiled its legislative plan for 2007 on Wednesday. Among the 38 legislative programs, 26 regulations are to be launched this year, the Securities Times reported.

According to CSRC, the draft of four basic administrative regulations governing the securities and futures markets, such as the Regulation for the Supervision and Administration of Securities Companies, has been submitted to the State Council for further consideration.

Meanwhile, CSRC is working closely with the Finance and Economic Committee of the National People's Congress in compiling the Futures Law.

CSRC will also improve the information disclosure system and regulate acquisition and restructuring activities of listed companies by setting up or amending rules like the Administrative Regulations on Listed Companies Information Disclosure and Circular on Issues Concerning the Purchase, Sale and Replacement of Assets from Listed Companies.

In addition, more legislative work is scheduled to promote the development of Chinese futures market. CSRC will map out rules like Administrative Measures for Futures Brokers and Administrative Rules on Futures Exchanges to form a complete regulation system for the futures market.
