IT: AsiaInfo gets China Mobile unit deal

AsiaInfo Holdings Inc said Monday it signed contracts with China Mobile Ltd's Hubei, Liaoning and Shanghai units to implement a recently developed business intelligence subsystem that will support wireless data services.

Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

AsiaInfo, which is a Beijing-based telecom software and IT security service provider, said the subsystem supports various value-added data services including mobile music, text messages and multimedia messages.

AsiaInfo shares rose 35 cents, or 2.9 percent, to US$12.45 in morning trading.
