Building sound career ethics is not only the task for chief executive officers (CEOs), but also for staff at all levels.

China Youth Daily quotes Allen Blewitt, Chief Executive of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, as saying that each member of a company team, not just the CEO, is responsible for professionalism and sound career ethics.

Blewitt says many companies have put greater importance on ethics in professions, especially in finance sectors like accounting. A prosperous financial market requires accurate and transparent information. All the staff members should be clearly aware of the importance of ethics and follow such guidelines through their careers.

The paper reports in the case of many businesses, a company's reputation can be destroyed by ethical errors made by junior-level employees. These staff need to pay particular attention company loyalty and daily work objectives, and not be influenced by prejudice or temptation.

Experts suggest the whole society needs to think carefully about ethics, independence and how to identify risks. College students are encouraged to truly understand responsibility, loyalty and passion, the essential traits of a good employee.
