Wang Junwen, Canton Fair's vice president, said at a news briefing that the Liuhua complex will be no longer used in the next session. The Pazhou complex will be the only venue.

The Liuhua complex was built in 1974 with an exhibition area of about 120,000 square meters. The Pazhou complex has three sections. Section C is still under construction and is expected to be commissioned in the next session. Currently, Section A and B have an exhibition area of about 380,000 square meters.

The fair, held in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, will have three phases in the next session from currently two. Each phase will last five days instead of current six with two four-day intervals.

The current session, or the 103rd China Import and Export Fair, runs from April 15 to 30. The next session is scheduled to take place between October 15 and November 6.
